Haridimos Hatzidakis is one of the most successful new wine makers. In the privately-owned vineyard of Hatzidakis family, which is in the VQPRD zone (vin de qualité produit dans une région déterminée), lies his winery, which despite its small size (it is the smallest winery in Santorini) it houses great wine collections. Santorini wine (year 2000) won the copper medal at the 2nd Thessaloniki International Wine Competition. The same wine (year 2002) won the silver medal at the International wine spirit Competition that took place in London in 2003. The greatest award came for Santorini wine, year 2003: gold medal at the Awards of Decanter magazine.
